Job Responsibilities of the IT Engineer will include:
- Overseeing the IT helpdesk, addressing technical issues and resolving issues in a
- Offer 2nd line support for complex IT issues, working with users to find solutions and escalate to third parties when necessary.
- Manage JAMF Pro for device management, including enrolling devices, configuring profiles, deploying software, and managing updates and patches.
- Assist in the implementation of new systems and services
- Deliver tailored training sessions and ongoing support to employees, addressing individual needs and concerns, helping staff troubleshoot issues and optimise their use of technology to enhance productivity and satisfaction.
- Create and update solution documents for known problems for both users and team members.
- Follow security best practices to ensure the security of the organisation’s data and property.
Requirements of the IT Engineer will include:
- Previous experience providing 2nd line IT support, including troubleshooting issues, mobile device management and system implementation processes including new applications, hardware, software, upgrades and deployments.
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive approach to resolving their issues and updates
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and promptly diagnose and resolve IT issues.
- Understanding of security best practices to safeguard the organisation’s data and property, including knowledge of antivirus and patch management systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Apple devices (laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobiles) is advantageous but not essential
- Understanding of Google Workspace and suite of products (e.g., Google Meet) also beneficial
