The Role of the Product Owner:
As a Product Owner, you’ll own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from defining the roadmap to delivering innovative solutions that meet both business goals and user needs. What sets this role apart is the focus on user testing—you’ll work closely with UX teams, gather real customer insights, and ensure that every product decision is driven by data.
Responsibilities of the Product Owner:
- Define and execute the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Conduct user testing and research to validate concepts and identify pain points
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to create seamless and intuitive experiences
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality features on time
- Use analytics, feedback, and A/B testing to make data-driven product decisions
- Prioritise the backlog based on user impact and business value
- Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the product meets their needs
Requirements of the Product Owner:
- Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in an agile environment
- Understanding of user testing methodologies or a willingness to learn
- Ability to translate customer insights into product improvements
- Familiarity with A/B testing, wireframing, and prototyping tools would be beneficial but not essential
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally
